Wildflowers in Winter

Mary Anne Borge, Founder of The Natural Web, a website dedicated to exploring, understanding and enjoying the plants and critter around us, will present Wildflowers in Winter, via Zoom.

Participants will learn how to identify the standing winter skeletons of some common native plants in winter, what characteristics to look for including the common types of fruit that might see in winter, which plants take special advantage of the winter months to photosynthesize and how they do it, and the benefits native plants offer to wildlife and to your own gardens in winter.
