You Know the Plants, Now What? How to Create and Certify Nature-inspired Habitat Gardens (sold out)

This live in-person presentation will answer the questions we have after we learn about native and beneficial plants and what services they can do of: Now what? What do we do and how do we put together a habitat garden?
We’ll discuss and show how to install a NWF (National Wildlife Federation) certified habitat garden or Xerces Society certified pollinator garden using the plants that you already know about.

When a garden is done right using multiple layers and groupings it naturally attracts pollinators almost immediately.
Stephen Coan, of Stephen Coan Garden Design is an award-winning Landscape Designer, Horticulturist, Plantsman, Consultant, Craftsman, Artist, and Outdoorsman. He exclusively designs, consults, and installs bespoke designed landscapes & nature inspired fine habitat gardens that are timeless, memorable, and meaningful for discerning Clients using his extensive experience with native and beneficial plants creating unique novel plant community habitat gardens that attract and support pollinators, birds, and other wildlife throughout the entire year.
Multiple times throughout the year he’ll go into the wild to study plants and how they form communities naturally and try to incorporate their patterns, groupings, and styles into his gardens. Along the way he’s discovered a few native plant variations.
Stephen was trained and certified by Longwood Gardens in Landscape Design and as a level 3 certified Horticulturalist. Stephen also studied and received a BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art.
