Winter Walk at the Celery Farm

Educator Ryan Griffin will lead a walk at the Celery Farm to discuss the evergreen plants of the preserve, how animals utilize plants during the winter, and how the habitat restoration team’s efforts continue all year round. Get out and enjoy a beautiful winter day while learning all about native plants!

Meet at the preserve entrance on Green Way. For directions, enter “150 Green Way, Allendale” into Google Maps. Be sure not to block a driveway when you park.
Important Information:
Parking: Availability is limited, restricting the number of participants. Arrive on time.
Facilities: There are no restrooms or Port-o-Potties at the Celery Farm. The nearest restroom is at Dunkin on West Allendale Ave. Take Franklin Turnpike south to Allendale Ave. and make a right. Dunkin is on the left.
Trail Description: The walk covers approximately 1 mile of mostly flat terrain. The trails have roots and rocks in many places and may be icy or muddy at times.
Footwear: We suggest wearing sturdy shoes.
Accessibility: Trail conditions do not accommodate wheelchairs or strollers.
