November 18 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Sowing seeds in winter is a great way to expand your palette of native plants – and it’s easy, low cost, and lets you continue gardening in winter! Learn about cold stratification, seed choices, options for growing containers, over-winter care, and much more – just in time to plant your own seeds in December and January.
Mary McDermott is a self-professed “garden nerd” who loves experimenting with and learning about plants. Her property in Mays Landing has nearly 20 different garden areas, supporting a wide range of native insects, birds, and other animals. Propagating plants all year-round keeps these gardens full and vibrant – and affordable. Mary was a Master Gardener and instructor for over 15 years, and currently leads informal and formal presentations on propagation techniques, using research- and science-based methods.
