Walking Tour of Thielke Arboretum in Glen Rock
July 27 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Meet on the back porch of the Environmental Education Building. We’ll do an easy walking tour, led by docent and chapter leader Elaine Silverstein. The Arb contains a beautiful red maple swamp and a remnant pitch pine forest as well as an artificial pond and a natural stream, the Diamond Brook. Many native plants are present in their natural habitats, and it’s a good spot for birdwatching. After the walk we’ll gather for iced tea and cookies on the shaded porch.
