Tree ID Walk at Edgemere Park and Tour of Maritime Forest

Come explore Edgemere Park and Crescent Park (a Maritime Forest) and learn to identify trees in the Fall. Cameron Kanterman, a land steward for Flat Rock Brook Preserve, will lead us on a tree identification walk while discussing the effects of climate change on our ecosystem. The walk will include a visit to the large, deer-protected Pollinator Garden at Edgemere that was designed by our own Jason Goldman. Afterwards, we will walk a trail that will lead us to Crescent Park, a rare 17-acre maritime forest. The total distance round trip, including the ID walk, is about 3 miles. You can opt to drive to Crescent Park on 1st Avenue.
At Edgemere Park, please park on Beacon Road or 6th Street and try to carpool if possible. If you drive to Crescent Park rather than walking with the group, there is public parking on 1st Avenue.
