The NPSNJ Sussex Chapter invites you to a field trip and picnic at Kittatinny Valley State Park

Time: Field Trip: 10:00 a.m.; Picnic begins at noon
After meeting at the Twin Lakes parking area on Goodale Road, we will proceed to the Sussex Branch Trail toward Whites Pond. Our walk will take us through woodlands, past limestone outcroppings and small ponds to explore the native plants.
The field trip portion will begin at 10:00, followed by the picnic at noon. Please feel free to join us for either field trip or the picnic if you prefer.
The Twin Lakes parking lot is about a 0.5 mile between the Rt. 206 junction of Goodale Road and the main park entrance at 199 Goodale Road. The parking lot entrance is on your left if you are traveling from Rt. 206.
The picnic will be held at the picnic area near the Aeroflex airport off of Limecrest Road about 1 mile from its junction with Rt. 206. We will picnic under spruce trees on the shore of Lake Aeroflex, the deepest natural lake in NJ.
The picnic will be a potluck. Please fill out the google spreadsheet below if you are planning to bring food to be shared with the group. Please bring your own beverages. If you have trouble accessing the google sheet, you can email Kathy Wilson at kat.wils@hotmail.com and she will update it for you.
There is a port-a-potty at the Twin Lakes parking lot and full bathrooms in the picnic area off Limecrest Road.
