Spring Propagation of Native Plants

Transplant Seedlings and Sow New Seeds!

This is part two of our three-part series to teach participants how to grow native plants for their own use as well as to support Mercer chapter activities.  The first session was held in December when we did some winter seed sowing and prepared other seeds for cold storage.

We hope 20 new people will join us who would like to participate and learn about the process of propagating native plants but did not participate in the last session. We could use your help.  We will be sowing some seeds that have been in cold storage and we’ll transplant the new seedlings from December.

Participants who came to the original program should bring their seedlings and their refrigerated seeds and tray to the workshop. You should NOT re-register for this session.  We will be in touch via email with further information. 

This program is limited to NPS members only.

New participants (people that did not attend the December session) must register for this session. Please RSVP below.

The final session in this series will take place on September 7th.  Participants will bring back the seedlings that they grew and have an opportunity to select a number of plants to take home.  (# tbd based on overall germination rates).  Additional plants raised will be offered in a plant sale or used in chapter projects.
