Rotary Native Plant Garden at the Community House of Moorestown

Native gardens come in all shapes and sizes – and this vibrant 1-year-old garden at the Community House of Moorestown is a perfect example. Featuring 14 native pollinator species, the garden was made possible with plants provided by the Xerces Society’s Habitat Kit Program and Pinelands Nursery. Just months after planting, the space was already buzzing with bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. 

Centrally located at a historic property in the heart of Moorestown, this garden offers an accessible model for incorporating native plants into both home and community landscapes. It is the result of a collaborative effort between the Rotary Lunch Club of Moorestown and the Community House of Moorestown. Interpretive signage throughout the garden invites visitors to learn more about native and pollinator friendly plants, highlighting both general benefits, and specific species. 

We’re excited to grow alongside this garden in the years ahead and remain committed to using native and drought tolerant plants in future projects that support biodiversity and sustainability.
