See A Native Garden in Summer Bloom!
July 16 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Description: This 2.2 acre property is the largest private pollinator garden in West Orange. It was transformed in 2018 from a monoculture lawn to a thriving pollinator garden. Kim Eireman of Eco-Beneficial designed the garden and you can see the process here. https://blog.eccobella.com/creating-sallys-pollinator-garden/.
Since its transformation, the garden has become a haven for butterflies, bees, and birds. High school students are paid to help tend the garden, creating a revelatory experience for them.
Garden Talk: Owner Sally Malanga will give a brief Talk at 6 p.m.
Directions: There is no sign at the entrance to Ridge Road off of Mt Pleasant Ave; heading west, the entrance is between an old stone wall, on the left before the intersection with Prospect Ave. The property is at the end of Ridge Road. Park along the edges of Ridge Road, a narrow road.
