Rain Garden Talk and Tour

You are invited to a tour of the Master Gardeners’ demonstration rain garden in Freehold, NJ. The garden was established in 2007 and extensively renovated in recent years to capture and filter storm water from the Agriculture Building’s parking lots. In addition to being beautiful and providing natural habitat for bees, butterflies, moths, birds, and mammals, the garden removes parking lot sediment, improves the quality of run off, and recharges ground water.   

The event is outside and includes a brief presentation about the history and design of the garden with an overview of suitable plants. We will also take a walking tour of the garden and answer questions.
