Pop-Up Garden Tour for NPSNJ Members & Friends

May 3 @ 2:00 pm 5:00 pm

Our native plants landscape in Port Republic is looking good right now, and we are inspired to invite members and their friends to walk along our shaded paths:

Shrubs expected to be blooming this weekend include beach plum, red chokeberry, pinkster azalea, red buckeye, strawberry bush (Carolina allspice), mapleleaf viburnum, blackhaw viburnum, cranberry viburnum, and nannyberry.

Also currently blooming are Canada columbine, creeping phlox, woodland phlox, wild geranium, golden alexander, golden ragwort, shooting star, tiarella, Canada mayflower, Jacob’s ladder, green-and-gold, fernleaf phacelia, mayapple, dwarf iris, ginger, woodland stonecrop, plantain-leaved pussytoes, Solomon’s seal, coral honeysuckle, and several violets.

If you can come, register by email to southeast@npsnj.org.  We will respond with  parking directions and other details. You are welcome to bring a friend or neighbor who is interested in learning more about landscaping with native plants. We encourage everyone to car-pool if at all possible. We look forward to seeing those of you who can make it.
