Nursery Tour: Davidson’s Mill Pond Park

June 13 @ 10:00 am 12:00 pm

The photo shows the length of one aisle at Davidson's Mill Pond Park Nursery. There are at least 9 palettes of sprouts ranging from a few centimeters to a few inches high. There is irrigation tracking down the center of the palettes of pants. The entire aisle is covered in a fine black netting.
The photo shows five aisles at Davidson's Mill Pond Park Nursery. Peaking into the aisles, one can see the budding sprouts of natives. Each aisle is covered with fine black netting. There is someone wearing a wide-brimmed hat walking between two of the aisles. Each aisle has drop mats for sturdy footing.

The Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County has a Native Plant Teaching Nursery led by Master Gardeners and Environment Stewards. The tour of the nursery will include a review of nursery operations and the techniques used to propagate native plants from seeds as well as hands-on transplanting. The nursery is located in Davidson’s Mill Pond Park in North Brunswick.
