Native Seed Collection Workshop

Learn how to collect native plant seeds in this hands-on session at
Teaneck Creek Park! We’ll explore how to tell when seeds are ripe and
ready to collect, discuss ethical seed-collection practices, and practice
cleaning and storing seeds. Participants will also receive a packet of
native seeds to take home! Pre-registration required.

Saving seeds is easy!

• Collect seeds from plants that have gone to seed. 
• Confidently identify the species.
• Put the seeds in a paper bag and let them dry. Label the bags with the date, location, species, and any other important information.
• Share with others!
