LEARN HOW TO DO THE “CHELSEA CHOP”! SEE BRANCH BROOK PARK’S NATIVE PLANTS!

June 8 @ 10:00 am 11:30 am

***DUE TO THE FORECAST FOR RAIN, THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ON JUNE 8TH

Featuring Kelly Forsyth, Horticulturist, Branch Brook Park Alliance

The Chelsea Chop is a quick and easy – but little known – pruning technique that is used extensively in Branch Brook Park because it extends bloom time of summer and fall native flowers while enhancing their look. “Do the Chelsea Chop and your flowers will not flop!”

In this Workshop you will learn how to do the Chelsea Chop and receive a handout listing which native plants most benefit from it. The technique is best done in mid-June, so you can go home and do it in your garden! Please bring your hand pruners and gloves.

As a bonus, you will see Branch Book Park’s beautiful native plantings!

Sunday, 6/8, 10-11:30.
