Invasive Plant Removal: In Teaneck Creek Park and Your Backyard

Invasive plants take over our natural areas and reduce biodiversity. Learn about invasive plant identification and best practices for removal, then help remove invasive species at Teaneck Creek Park. Participants will be given resources to manage common invasive plants in New Jersey gardens.
What to bring?
We’ll be working in direct sun and in potentially soggy or flooded areas. We recommend wearing rubber boots or shoes you don’t mind getting dirty. We will be walking in very tall grass, so you may be more comfortable in long pants. Other supplies to consider bringing include sunscreen, a hat, bug spray (apply in the parking lot) and a water bottle. Toilet facilities will not be available.
