Garden Tour – Highlighting the Native Plant Gardens of Our Members!

August 2 @ 10:00 am 12:00 pm

Enjoy the outdoors and socialize with fellow members as we tour the native plant garden and pond nurtured by chapter member Eric Fleming at his home residence. NPSNJ will provide refreshments. Address will be released one day in advance to those who have registered.

A large shrub of Lonicera sempevirens (Trumpet Honeysuckle) that looks to be the size of a backyard shed - which it is growing next to. The honeysuckle is in bloom with long, narrow red flowers.
There is a short white picket fence surrounding a nicely maintained native garden. At the front of the garden is a sign that says "Brid & Pollinator Habitat" with a goldfinch pictured. The garden is along the edge of the front lawn. In the background of the photo, you can see the home this garden belongs too. In front of the home is a young sapling enjoying the sunlight.
A backyard pond full of aquatic plants. There looks to be some Nelumbo lutea (American lotus) and some arrowhead (unsure of the latin name). There is a beach made with loose gravel. The pond is looked over by a happy frog statue.
