Franklin Parker Preserve Native Plant Walk
July 19 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Join the Jersey Shore chapter on Saturday, July 19th at 10 am for a native plant walk at the Franklin Parker Preserve, an 11,379 acre nature preserve located in the Pine Barrens in Chatsworth, New Jersey. The preserve is owned and managed by the New Jersey Conservation Foundation. The walk will be a loop approximately 1 and a half miles long on mostly flat terrain on existing trails.
Jason Hafstad, a botanist and Statewide Preserve Manager with New Jersey Natural Lands Trust, will lead us on the walk and share his extensive knowledge of native Pine Barrens vegetation.

Registration is required for this event. The walk will be limited to a maximum of 15 individuals. Those who register will receive further instructions about where to meet. If you sign up after the maximum is reached, we’ll let you know and add your name to a standby list in case of cancellations.
