Postponed due to weather!: Cohanzick Nature Reserve Tour
June 27 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Join NPSNJ’s Southwest Chapter for a special tour, led by the staff of the Native American Advancement Corp., of the Cohanzick Nature Reserve in Bridgeton, New Jersey at 10 AM on Saturday, June 27!

Cohanzick Nature Reserve is 63 acres of land in South Jersey that, through the concerted efforts of the Native American Advancement Corp., NJ Green Acres, NJ Conservation Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, and the Open Space Institute, was rematriated back to the indigenous residents of South Jersey in 2023. It is a beautiful and sacred sanctuary for wildlife and native plant species, untouched by colonization, under the stewardship of the Cohanzick Lenape people. As described by the Native American Advancement Corp., Cohanzick is not just a sanctuary, it is a place for learning, celebration, and renewal.

Please join us for this two-hour guided morning tour where we’ll learn about the history of the land and people and all of the native species that call Cohanzick home.
