Bergen-Passaic Day Out at Wild Woods Restoration Project

Join us for a pleasant work-and-play day at the headquarters of Wild Woods Restoration Project in Salisbury Mills, NY (less than 45 minutes away). Wild Woods is the brainchild of Dr. Linda Rohleder, and its mission is to restore the health and diversity of our forests. Check out the website at https://wildwoodsproject.org/.

We will be potting up plants to be used for woodland understory restoration, performing some other easy tasks, and touring the greenhouse, potting area, and extensive woodlands of this beautiful property. This is an opportunity to volunteer, to hang out with other native plant enthusiasts, and to meet the chapter leaders.

The nursery is on private property. The address will be provided after you sign up. Signing up is required.

Please note the following:

Parking: Availability is limited, restricting the number of participants.

Facilities: Restrooms are available on-site.

Footwear and clothing: Wear hiking shoes or sturdy running shoes. Sandals, high heels, and similar footwear are not suitable. Come prepared to get dirty! Bring garden gloves and trowels if you have them.
