A Pruning How-To with Dave Parker – TreeWorks

March 17 @ 7:00 pm 9:00 pm

Any gardener who has tried pruning shrubs knows it can lead to countless questions: when is the best time to prune, how to prevent sucker growth, how to maintain a plant’s natural shape, which plants don’t need pruning, and so on.

And for our March meeting we have enlisted just the man to answer those questions. Dave Parker, owner of TreeWorks, and a native plants enthusiast and promoter.  Dave has taught tree pruning to public works employees and park-and-recreation employees throughout the state.  He is also a member of our Southeast Chapter and gave us a tour of his property and his magnificent meadow in our October 2021 Event

This will be an informal Q&A and discussion focused on your concerns, so please join us to contribute your own experiences and the problems you have encountered.

It should be a memorable evening!

Directions: For all classroom meetings this spring, we will be back on the second floor of the Unified Science Center and in Rm 246, one of the rooms we have used in the past.  See the campus map below. The closest parking spots are in Lots #4 and #5, which share the same entry off Vera King Farris Drive, the main drive on campus. Parking Lot #5 is made easy to spot by the mural of two ospreys on the Sports Center wall.
